The NASCAR Championship is the league's first to start major series. It is heavily orientated towards the NASCAR Cup Series concept and thus mirrors the usual Cup Series weekend schedules, which contains a x minute Qualifying, followed by a race over various lengths.

History

NASCAR series (2021–present):

After the successful launch of the 2020–21 GT4 Cup, it quickly became clear that more series were needed and thus the NASCAR series, along other series, became a main season series.

Race weekend

On Saturdays, drivers have a x-minute qualifying session. The qualifying session decides the grid order for the race, run over a time of x minutes.

Point system

2021 onwards

All races will be run with a scoring system similar to the one used in FIA series:

  • Each driver has to drive 50% of race distance to be eligible for points.
